About the lecturer
Professor Verspagen is an economist,
with a specialisation in the economics of technological change. He
undertook his undergraduate studies at the University of Limburg (now
called Maastricht University) in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 1984
- 1988, and obtained a PhD degree from the same university in 1992.
Thereafter he held a five year fellowship from the Royal Netherlands
Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). He is currently based at the
Eindhoven Centre for Innovation Studies (ECIS), Eindhoven University of
Technology (TUE), where he is professor of economics of innovation and
technological change.
